Earlier this year, we've made our acquaintance with Klink by the release of the EP They Don't know Yet. An elegantly sharp rock album that reminds slightly of the slow, grooving rock of bands like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Black Mountain. And that's what we love, that's why we are delighted that today we can show the new video clip of the song Stillborn Breaker premiering Klink.

Besides a new single, the band has many more great plans. Soon the band will start his new webseries They Don't Know Yet, for which the musicians were allowed to be followed during a musical search in Romania. For those who want to get to know the Amsterdammers: good news! We interviewed the gentlemen, about the band, the EP and their new videos.

Just for the readers who do not know Klink yet: who are you exactly?
"After writing some lyrics during a trip in Northern California, Tjeerd (singer) wanted to record them on music. And so he took the initiative to bring a group of befriended musicians together for this new project. The band consists of Tjeerd Blom (singer/writer), producer/guitarist Merlijn Verboom (Teus Nobel Quintet) and the talented musicians: Ivar Vermeulen (Kraak & Smaak), Harm Timmermans (Projekt Rakija) and Frank Duindam (Sugarboy & The Sinners)."

You have recorded a new EP earlier this year: Can you tell us more about that record?
"This all happened at the famous studio "Het Gemengd Bedrijf" in Limmen. The studio is an old North Holland farmhouse, where you can also stay overnight, long story short: the ideal place to completely isolate as a new formation. The songs have a desire for a journey of discovery, which neatly comes together with the music. As we started recording, the final destination was still unclear. Which is why we just went for a week of ' travelling ' in the studio and have been able to work out the record to every single detail. We are very pleased with the result, because it has also become some kind of journey-record, which perfectly suits playing while being on the road as a listener."

What will happen with the songs?
"From September 1st through Spotify every week a new song from the EP will appear. Starting with Stillborn Breaker on the 1^st of September. The vinyl is available through our website: www.klinkband.com/shop

For the context: what is the song about?
"The single Stillborn Breaker is about someone who is underprivileged and wants to break through this cycle. If he/she is following the right path that’s up to the listener. "

Today is going to be the premiere of your new video: How did this come about?
"The video for the song is recorded in Romania, here we basically have shot all the images for the EP. Because the EP recordings had been some kind of a trip to us, and the music also perfect “travel music”, we would love to make a real road trip through Romania. This whole trip was captured in a web series, in which our struggle as a new band is shown in four parts. Where we tried with the most diverse and creative ways to connect with people throughout whole Romania, with our music. It's really a musical discovery, in which is brought to you among beautiful colorful landscapes and characters, full of adventures and surprising situations. We kind of expected that this environment would deliver beautiful images, but it has really exceeded our expectations. "

What are your plans for the near future?
"Now that we’ve got back from our music ramble and full of inspiration, we want to record a new EP this spring."
